ABOUT US

Established in January 1990, Late Mr. S.S. Rajah, a visionary leader, founded International Education Consultancy (IEC), a trailblazer in introducing Australian education to Sri Lanka. With strategic foresight, Mr. Rajah led IEC to represent prestigious Australian universities.

Recognized for excellence, IEC then became a 'Streamlined Agent for Student Applications with the Australian High Commission.' Under Mr. Rajah's guidance, IEC expanded to New Zealand in 2004 and Canada in 2018, earning the esteemed ENZRA status awarded by Education New Zealand for exemplary student placements. Mr. Rajah's impactful leadership has left an enduring mark on global education through IEC.

Holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing (UK) and a Master of Business Studies from the University of Colombo. He is currently reading for the PhD program at Sri Jayawardenapura University.
His exposure to both local & international marketing and management skills is of use when required.
During his working career, he has held many senior management positions such as Senior General Manager Contact Centre Operations, Senior General Manager Sales & Marketing, Country Manager, Chief Marketing Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer prior to his current appointment. His vibrant leadership has earned many local and international awards and accolades to the organizations that he worked for by transforming the work environment into a “Performance Driven Culture” Being a valuable addition throughout IEC's journey, he brings his vast experience to carry out tailored marketing initiatives to enhance IEC's market presence and successful promotional activities.
Currently he holds the portfolio of Managing Director Sri Lanka Tourist Promotion Bureau (SLTPB) which is mainly entrusted with the task of promoting Sri Lanka as the most preferred destination among prospective travelers.
