Incorporated in January 1990, under the Sole Proprietorship of S S Rajah, International Education Consultancy (IEC) an International Career Guidance and Student Placement Centre, was a Pioneer (in Australian Education) to enter the International Market in Sri Lanka, representing some of the most prestigious Universities and Institutes in Australia. Since then, IEC has successfully found placements to over 3000 students in areas of Management, IT, Engineering, Medicine & Hospitality which have been the most sort out courses by the Sri Lankan student population.
As a business we have been guided by a philosophy of Trust & Honesty to the Individual with great emphasis on Integrity. In recognition of quality of service rendered by IEC to the Australian Education Market the Australian High Commission appointed IEC as a 'Streamlined Agent for Student Applications with the Australian High Commission' during the period SVP/PVA was applicable
IEC has been awarded the prestigious ENZRA status (Education New Zealand Recognized Agency) by Education New Zealand.
IEC which counts more than Twenty Eight (28) years of Commercial Operations have diversified its student services to Universities and Institutes in New Zealand and Canada as well. With this timely expansion now the organization is in a better situation to meet the growing demand, diversified needs and most importantly offer tailor-made educational solutions and pathways to meet individual financial capacities of sponsorship.

Mr. Rajah has held the post of a Divisional Secretary under the Ministry of Health - Sri Lanka and holds an abundance of Administrative & Establishment experience. All this experience & knowledge has been put in to the operations of IEC and has since retired.
Mrs. Manjula Perera (nee S. Rajah)
Manjula has worked for the Commercial Bank of Ceylon Ltd, a leading Bank in Sri Lanka for 11 years in various capacities I.e. Assistant to Credit Officer / Account Manager and officer in Export Department. She has been with IEC for the past 20 years and has played a major role in developing and taking the business to greater heights. Her banking knowledge and credit experience has immensely profited IEC, when scrutinizing financial documents and other related documents presented for students visa purposes more accurately. In most instances Students are initially counseled and advised by her and she guides them with suitable options based on their individual requirements and financial capacities.
Anoiline T. Thevaranjan is the Office Manager / Senior Counselor who has been working since 2014. She has completed a Higher National Diploma in Computing from City of London College, London. She holds Customer Care service work experience gained in London and having worked as a Computer Operator as well in Sri Lanka, holds high computer literacy as she has work experience in an outsourced work station for an Accounting firm of Canada in Sri Lanka, her overall knowledge benefits students and parents. Anne is the main counselor for English & Tamil speaking students who are not very fluent in Sinhala and provides them information and explanation of the various forms and documents for visa purposes. She has attended agent workshops conducted by universities of Australia & New Zealand in Sri Lanka and overseas, as well as attending several immigration update sessions conducted by AHC, Sri Lanka.Ms. Rebecca Leeniyagala / Student Counselor
Rebecca Leeniyagala was a counselor at IEC from 2009 – 2011 left to overseas to join her husband who was based UAE. After 5 years she rejoined us in June 2017 and continues to work as a counselor. During the 5 years of been overseas she worked in the customer support service area which is a huge advantage to her now in servicing our prospective students and parents. She counsels in English and Sinhala languages.Ms. Shamindi Liyanawaduge / Junior Student Counselor
Ms. Shamindi Liyanawaduge is a Junior Student Counselor has been working since January 2019 is the latest addition to our team. She has 4.5 years of work experience in the Finance / HR sector. She has completed her Bachelor of Business Management, from Shefield Hallam University - UK. She is being trained to counsel the English and Sinhala speaking students and will join the main team of counselors upon due training. She is currently involved in the back office work related to university and visa applications.Ms. Madhushika Shankaralingam / Lead – Digital Marketing
Madhushika Shankaralingam is the Lead – Digital Marketing ,the most recent member to join the IEC team. She has completed her Higher National Diploma in Computing at ESOFT Metro Campus, Colombo, Sri Lanka. She started her career as a Telemarketing executive from 2016 and recently worked as a Coding and robotics Instructor for Kids where she handled the designing and social media management as well. With her Digital Marketing knowledge and exposure she has taken over the full custody of the social media platforms of IEC.
